Securities Fraud
Securities Fraud is prosecuted in federal court. Allegations can include any criminal conduct involving investments or stocks including false statements to investors or the SEC, stock manipulation, embezzlement, and insider trading.
These types of cases can begin with an arrest, or an investigation involving subpoenas for testimony and records. From the moment someone is approached by law enforcement, it is important to begin defending against allegations of fraud. Any request for documents or records, or testimony, should be discussed with counsel before saying anything or turning over any documents.
